Job description

We are looking for a business development manager with a primary focus on speciality products to work in our Feed Ingredients business unit. Together with an international team of specialists, you will look for new products and markets for Denkavit Ingredients. You will actively look for partners to develop, test and produce new concepts. In this important and varied role at our family business, you will be on an excellent salary with a great package of fringe benefits, such as a 13th month bonus, profit sharing, 13 days under the reduction in working hours scheme and a company car.
 


Your duties
In your role as business development manager, you will have an eye for relevant developments in the ingredients market and respond to the need so as to increase our market share. In this sense, you will be a pioneer in flagging opportunities and discovering and developing new concepts. Thanks in part to your efforts, we will be able to raise brand awareness for Denkavit products in the market. You will also be involved in the following work:


  • Staying proactively in touch with buyers and nutritionists at compound feed companies and premixers
  • Strengthening existing relationships and building relationships within our own network and at potential clients
  • Negotiate and establish general conditions and other price and delivery terms with suppliers and/or clients
  • Coordinate and manage sales activities and operations as part of a team of technical sales managers
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and answer questions concerning your areas of focus.

Denkavit is a specialist in the field of feed for young animals and feed ingredients. We are a real family business that has been around for more than 90 years. Over the years, our company has established a leading position on the international stage. From our branches in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, China and the United States, our more than 600 passionate employees supply know-how and products to livestock farmers and animal feed suppliers in over 60 countries worldwide. We invest continuously in knowledge and research. Our own laboratories and research centres are therefore unique in our field.
 


Job requirements

As a business development manager for ingredients, you have extensive experience in the sales and marketing of feed additives. Based on natural leadership skills, you are capable of managing and coaching your team of international technical sales managers. In addition, you have the following:

  • Preferably completed a study programme at university level or higher professional education
  • Relevant experience and an international network in the world of animal nutrition
  • Strong communication skills, at management as well as at a general organisational level
  • Excellent command of the English language, both conversational and written
  • A willingness to travel abroad for an average of 25% of your time and you are interested in cultural differences
