As Supply Chain Specialist at UBQ Materials in Bergen op Zoom you are responsible for managing and coordinating the flow of goods from suppliers to end customers. The key tasks of a supply chain specialist include:

  • Planning and managing the logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
  • Overseeing the maintenance of equipment used in operations to ensure safe working conditions for employees
  • Follow-up orders and Ensuring timely delivery of products to customers, while optimizing costs and maintaining the agreed service level.
  • Coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations throughout the supply chain and anticipate on disruptions to meet the agreed targets.
  • Managing inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
  • Developing and implementing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain.
  • Analyzing data and using insights to identify areas for improvement in the supply chain, and implementing strategies to address these areas.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to logistics and supply chain management.
  • Collaborating with other teams within the organization, such as sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with business objectives.
  • Back-up Purchase & SCM manager.

Jouw kracht

  • Demonstrable experience 3-5 years
  • HBO Level in SCM/Logistics education and experience
  • Experience with ERP software (Oracle knowledge is an advantage ), WMS, TMS and replenishment tools.
  • You have a vision and execute it
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • An excellent verbal and written ability in English and preferably one other EU language (German is a plus)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment with high demand to flexibility.
