Wat ga je allemaal doen?This is what you will do
As a wind turbine maintenance technician at Deutsche Windtechnik in the Liège region, you will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines for various wind farms spread across Belgium. You will work closely with your team and strictly adhere to all safety procedures. You will also rotate in one-call cover on weekends and holidays and comply to the customer's site rules and requirements.
Furthermore, as a wind turbine technician, you are also responsible for:
You will replace essential major turbine components, such as generators and gearboxes.
Troubleshooting to solve technical problems on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- You perform and assist in all areas of site operations such as inspections, root cause analysis and fault diagnosis.
- You will ensure safety at all times and report work and any incidents in accordance with standard procedures.
- You will accurately complete all required documentation, including work orders, checklists and work permits.

Wat we van jou verwachten
What we expect of you
As a wind turbine service technician at Deutsche Windtechnik in the Liège region, you are technically skilled and good at working together as a team player. You are flexible, willing to travel and work at different times and locations. With your solution orientation and communication skills, you know how to solve any problem. Furthermore, you bring with you:
- Relevant completed Mid-level electrical education (MBO 3 or 4 diploma, or equivalent work experience).
- Ideally three years of experience in electrical engineering and preferably also mechanical and/or hydraulic experience in an industrial environment, e.g. wind farms, power plants, industrial process plants or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments.
- Demonstrable experience with low and high voltage and completed courses NEN3140 and NEN3180 or the Belgian BA4 or BA5 Attest.
- Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Awareness of the importance of safety, health and environment in all work activities
- In possession of a valid driving license
- You are able to work at height and in confined spaces.
